An extreme sports competition, the XTERRA combines swimming with mountain biking and trail running. The typical distances are a 1.5 km swim, 30 km mountain biking, and 10 km trail run. Courses are designed to have top pros finish in roughly two-and-a-half hours.
The Greek race as part of the XTERRA European and World Championships will attract top professionals and amateur athletes from around the world as well as a large number of Greek athletes.
XTERRA is the world’s premier off-road multisport event. XTERRA World Tour races are held each year in more than 17 countries. The XTERRA European Tour includes races in 8 European countries (Spain, Greece, Switzerland, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany and the UK) and is part of the XTERRA World Tour Championship. All above events offer qualifying slots to the grand final XTERRA World Championship, which is held every October in Hawaii, U.S.A.
