The race is held in a region which is famous for its traditional marble sculpture. The aim of the event is to combine sports with the natural beauty of Exo Meria, the northwestern part of the island.
Throughout the route of 20.5 km, athletes will have the opportunity to admire the widespread artistic activities while running on the uneven pathways and cobbled streets of the area. With a maximum height difference of 250 m., the race starts and ends in the village of Pyrgos.
For the maintenance of the route’s paths, Pyrgos-Panormos Cultural Association organised, apart from the race, a Volunteer Programme (01/07-28/07) with the participation of volunteers from Greece and abroad, aiming at the creation of the best possible conditions for the athletes.
Athletes such as Maria Malae and Stavros Stefanis promise to offer great moments during a race which intends to become a regular athletic event at Tinos.
