Hellenic Cosmos, in collaboration with Kazantzakis Editions and the Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, present for the first time in Athens, an exhibition-tribute to the great Greek author. The exhibition is held on the occasion of the 130 years since the birth of Nikos Kazantzakis and presents the life, travels and work of the universal writer, through his first editions, rare photographs, manuscripts and personal items, many of which are exhibited for the first time.
Among other things, the public will have the opportunity to see the first typewritten original text of his book for kids Alexander the Great with handwritten corrections, handwritten notes exchanged with his first love Kathleen Forde (his English teacher), the album with sea plants that he had in his office, a gift from a friend, the notebook he jointly had with Angelos Sikelianos, the postcard of Zorbas etc.
The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the universality of Kazantzakis. In this context, the exhibition puts into display the most important turning points of his life, his relation with children, God, love and friendship, and of course his extensive writings.
