Activities & Sports - Konitsa

Many activities such as rafting and kayak in Aoos and Voidomatis rivers, a paragliding pitch, climbing and mountaineering in Gkamila, Smolika, Grammos and Trapezitsa mountains, mountain biking in the forestall pathways, horse riding and archery in Konitsa and canyoning in Aoos gorge are developed around Konitsa. The whole area is ideal for walking and hiking (pathways E6 and O3). In Amarantos and Kavasila villages operate thermal spa facilities which have rare therapeutic qualities. The villages of Sarantaporos valley are home of well known stone craftsmen and famous artists, painters and wood sculptors who created works of unique value all over the country during the last centuries. There are also organized alpine shelters in Gkamila, Aetomilitsa and Palioseli and guest houses in Konitsa and the surrounding villages.
