Swimming in Gallisa, one of the busiest beaches in the island, in Agkathopes and Komito. Kini, Delphini and Lia are also very beautiful beaches. Grammata can be accessed only by boat. Some other beautiful beaches are Vari, Azolimnos, Foinikas, Achladi, Fabrika, Empatis and Stantorinioi. You can also visit the beaches of Ampela, Tria Lagonia and Poseidonia.
Day trip by sailing boat to Giaros. It is a small island (17 km2) used by the government as a place of exile for political prisoners during the period of Civil War (1946-1949) and Dictatorship (1967-1974). The Ministry of Culture has renounced it as a “historic place”.
