The Prefecture of Rethymnon provides you the chance to choose amongst an array of sports which include mountain, water and air sports. From water-skiing and windsurfing, water biking and canoeing at organized beaches (Preveli, Aghia Galini, Bali, Panormou and Plakia) to paragliding and mountain climbing (at Psiloreiti which provides a shelter the capacity of 50 people) are offered for physical exercise and adventure. The prefecture also offers less adventurous sport, such as golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, football fields, cycling, either road or water and other.
