Activities and sports in Heraklion

At the port of Herakleion you can get information from the Yacht Club on sailing escapades. South of the Archaeological Museum, right under the walls, there are tennis facilities. On the way to Prophitis Ilias (area of Malades) an excellent go-cart course will make your holidays different. For water sports, the beach of Ammoudaras provides rental facilities for surfboarding, canoeing, water or jet skiing.
